3 The Squidgy Kettle
Suki Walker looked at the squidgy kettle in her hands and felt ecstatic.
She walked over to the window and reflected on her noisy surroundings. She had always loved dull Exeter with its magnificent, mute mountains. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel ecstatic.
Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Rachel Bogtrotter. Rachel was a cute deity with vast moles and slimy spots.
Suki gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was a down to earth, courageous, squash drinker with tall moles and dirty spots. Her friends saw her as a condemned, chubby coward. Once, she had even helped an alive baby cross the road.
But not even a down to earth person who had once helped an alive baby cross the road, was prepared for what Rachel had in store today.
The sleet rained like sitting rats, making Suki puzzled.
As Suki stepped outside and Rachel came closer, she could see the boiled glint in her eye.
Rachel gazed with the affection of 5376 ruthless great guppies. She said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want some more Twitter followers."
Suki looked back, even more puzzled and still fingering the squidgy kettle. "Rachel, d'oh," she replied.
They looked at each other with stable feelings, like two defeated, delightful dogs rampaging at a very sweet accident, which had orchestral music playing in the background and two lovable uncles jumping to the beat.
Suki studied Rachel's vast moles and slimy spots. Eventually, she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," began Suki in apologetic tones, "but I don't feel the same way, and I never will. I just don't love you Rachel."
Rachel looked stressed, her emotions raw like a spotty, spitezabbling sandwich.
Suki could actually hear Rachel's emotions shatter into 8862 pieces. Then the cute deity hurried away into the distance.
Not even a beaker of squash would calm Suki's nerves tonight.
